Giant pandas are black and pale bears, and in the wild, they live in very thick bamboo forest, high up in the mountains of central China. These cool animals are omnivores. But while they mostly eat tiny animals and fish, bamboo counts as 99 percent of their diet. Only 2,000 pandas are found in the wild. The panda is really a member of the bear family.
