If you and your family are wanting to go on a short trip for any break during the year, you should visit St. Louis, MO. St. Louis is a small city that would really make a trip monumental. Of course, by monumental I also mean all the huge monuments that surround the city, also with all the history it has in the city. Reading on can let you know of some exhilarating activities you can do.

“Gateway to the West,” “River City,” “There’s More Than Meets the Arch” … St. Louis. These are all different names and sayings for St. Louis. But many people care about St. Louis for their 630-foot tall arch. It is a beautiful monument from the ground, but the view is magnificent from the top. You can go in a little compartment that will take you up to the top and once you reach the top there are about 20 windows you can look out of and see the city of St. Louis. Have fun if you go up.

One other fun activity you can do is for you history fans: a boat tour with a bit of history on the trip. You get on a boat (that sometimes has concessions) that has many outdoor and indoor seats. While you sit and look out to the city and forest area, someone will tell you some history of the city and what the forest area has about its past.

There are many other things to do in St. Louis, but when I visit this city, these things pop in my mind first. They might sound boring, but in my opinion, they are fun to do and I encourage you to try them. If you go, have fun with your family, and enjoy your St. Louis trip!
