Sixth grade student Molly Hocker won third place in the 22nd annual Blue Springs School District Poetry Contest. A poetry reading to honor all contest winners was held on Tuesday, March 28th at central office, with students, friends, and family invited to watch as the winners read their winning poems aloud. Over 1,000 entries were submitted in grades 6-12 this year, so placing in the top three was a huge honor. Molly’s winning poem was titles, “Hope of a New Day.”
