It is tragic how Mrs. Keal is retiring, so Katelynn and I decided to do a little digging to find out why.

The reason why Mrs. Keal is retiring is because she is moving on to new challenges, but she will miss all of the students and faculty very much. After she retires, she is looking forward to backpacking through Europe with her son, finding a part time job, and traveling to the Caribbean.

She has been teaching for 27 years, and her favorite part about teaching here at PKMS is helping the students learn about their rights and the world around them. She says would teach here again because it’s a fantastic school. Her favorite memories are of all the friendships she has made, her two Teacher of the Year awards, and the Crystal Apple nomination. She is going to miss watching students learn and grow the most. We will miss you, Mrs. Keal!
